Contributions to Goal
As of 4/8/2023, I have the manuscript for the book complete.
I still have a ways to go with multiple layers of edits ahead. Publishing this independently has costs associated with it that are not astronomical, just currently out of immediate reach with work and family priorities in place. I know I could easily go through a mainstream crowdfunding website but in my head, I reserve those for causes with more critical needs (medical bills, funeral expenses, and other immediate support of tragedies and misfortune)
So while I do need the financial assistance, I think it better to just say, “If you like what I’m doing and want to help me get this book published and recorded into an audiobook, this is the place to help me do that.”
If I manage to generate the interest of 1000 people, a $25 contribution from them would fund this project in its entirety. I’d love to offer any special requests should you have them (autographed copies once complete, personal inscriptions, etc.) and if this generates enough interest there will be merchandise in the future for purchase and support.
